OD Practice Supervision
If you are a coach, work in social care or perhaps in another clinical field, you will know about and potentially have experience of practice supervision.
At the OD Academy, we believe OD Practitioners and leaders working in the field of Organisational Development (OD) should access regular practice supervision.
Working in OD means that you are likely intervening into one or more organisational system(s) and or crossing over organisational boundaries. Whilst what we do is a privilege and we are entrusted with this responsibility, we are often exposed to a range of challenges that such interventions bring. Our professional responsibility is to protect our clients, their people, systems, and their well-being by being the best version of our selves. We can only do the right thing in helping others by firstly ensuring we are doing right by our self. That is why practice supervision is important and plays a vital role in our work.
Group
Supervision Surgeries
As a member of the OD Academy, you can gain access to one of our monthly Group Supervision Surgeries – on a ‘first come, first served’ basis.
You’ll join a small number of peer colleagues in a 1.5-hour on-line surgery to explore, in confidence, themes (rather than specific details) emerging from your OD practice and/or exploring ways to plan effectively ahead of your next intervention.
Each surgery will be facilitated by an experienced OD Consultant. The surgery session will be contracted for using a contracting model to negotiate and agree Outcomes, the Process and Relationships to ensure a highly productive session.
Individual OD Practice Supervision
Perhaps your work is of a more confidential nature or you would value a safe and confidential space to deep-dive into the detail of your professional practice .
As such, you may prefer the idea of receiving supervision on a 1:1 basis, rather than in a group setting.
