GUIDING PRINCIPLES FOR YEAR ONE
REAL-WORLD INSIGHTS
How We’re Shaping the Research Pillar in Year One
Our Research Pillar for Year 1 is shaped by the needs and interests of our Members. As this space develops, it will become a practical hub of insight grounded in three guiding principles:
1. Be guided by Member needs We begin by listening – engaging with Members to understand what matters most and shaping our activity around their priorities.
2. Recognise and reward Member contributions Throughout the year, we’ll celebrate the work happening across our community by sharing Member-led practice, showcasing projects and recognising contributions across our channels.
3. Leverage existing public research With a wealth of high‑quality research already available, our focus in Year 1 is on curating and signposting the most valuable resources rather than commissioning new studies.
These principles will guide how we grow the Research Pillar and support the community in navigating meaningful, evidence‑based OD practice.
